I attended BSDCan,
North America's Largest BSD Conference,
for the first time this year.
I had an excellent experience and
plan on going again.
To anyone on the fence,
I would highly recommend it!
Everyone there was both kind and welcoming, especially the NetBSD folks. I'd heard many nice things about the NetBSD community, and I'm happy to report that it's all true :)

His talk about npf(7) highlighted recent improvements.
Readability is almost everything in a firewall,
so I was pleased to see how readable the group blocks and
just-in-time compiled
BPF
bytecode was.
